Vocational training has an essential role in the preparation of cybersecurity specialists, bringing practical learning closer to the real needs of the technology industry. CyberLehia clearly reflects this connection, offering students the opportunity to test their skills in a competitive and realistic environment.

This year’s edition was attended by more than 450 students, a fact that demonstrates both the growing interest in cybersecurity and the high level of emerging talent in the Basque Country.

Training connected to the reality of the sector

The support of TEKNIKA—a leading center for innovation applied to vocational training—and of the Basque Government’s Department of Education has been essential in strengthening the ties between training and the digital sector. Their involvement ensures that initiatives like CyberLehia continue to grow and generate real impact.

At Jakincode, we attended this important event, actively participating in the competition. Our CTO, Mikel Díaz de Arcaya, served on this year’s jury, evaluating the teams’ performance and sharing his insights from his experience in the sector. We are glad to contribute to an event that promotes the growth and development of young talent in the Basque Country.

Recognition of our internship students

We would like to especially congratulate our three interns from EGIBIDE (Diocesan Foundation–Jesús Obrero) and Maristak Durango, who made it to the grand finals. Their dedication, effort, and commitment to cybersecurity reflect the great potential of young talent in our region.
