Cybersecurity with purpose: beyond technology

In a world where cyberattacks are not a remote possibility, but a daily reality, talking about cybersecurity is talking about people, culture and strategy. This is what we shared in a podcast organized by GAIA during BeDigital Transforming Industry in Bilbao, an event focused on the industrial application of digital technologies. Our CEO, Nerea Báez, participated in an open conversation with Elbio Nielsen, from Media Attack, where they addressed the main current challenges in the sector.
Cybersecurity as part of the corporate culture
Cybersecurity is no longer an exclusively technical topic. Today, protecting an organization involves much more than installing solutions: it means training, raising awareness and accompanying. It means understanding that the weakest link is not always a system, but a person who, unaware, can open the door to an attack. And it also means assuming that incident recovery must be as well designed as prevention.
At JakinCode we work with the integral vision of accompanying organizations throughout the entire cycle: from early threat detection to response and recovery. And we do so with a very clear focus: to make cybersecurity a natural part of the corporate culture.

Regulations as an opportunity for improvement
During the event, we also reflected on the role of regulations such as the National Security Scheme (ENS) or the NIS2 Directive. Beyond compliance, these regulations are an opportunity to professionalize processes, raise the level of demand and build more resilient organizations. Because yes, risk exists, but there are also tools, knowledge and strategy to face it with solvency.
And if we are talking about the future, we are talking about authentication, biometrics, two- factor, secure passwords… but also about making it easy for the user. Because security should not be an obstacle, but a facilitator.
Cybersecurity is not only built with technology, but with vision, commitment and people prepared to act. Spaces like this podcast allow us to share real experiences and reflect on current challenges to continue promoting a more conscious security culture in organizations.
